A warm hello to all of our Doodle-loving friends!
We know we’ve been quiet around here lately and since our spring litters went home with their forever families but it simply continues to be a busy season for our family and also, we haven’t had any exciting news to share with you all, just yet…
But finally, we have a beautiful surprise to share with you, one that we’ve been keeping for over a year now, that we hope brings a lot of joy to your heart and a smile to your face 🙂
Friends, we’d like you to meet our newest momma-dog, Lexi!
Isn’t she lovely?!! And her personality is just as loveable as her looks!
In a nutshell, Lexi is Penny’s full-blood sister, a Medium F1B Goldendoodle + just one year younger, born and raised on the beautiful North Carolina coast by my dear friend, Ashlee, and her amazing family.
Last September, I hopped on a plane (yes, during all the Covid craziness and all!) and traveled 3000 miles to bring this sweet girl home with hopes to eventually have her be a part of our guardianship breeding program but first and foremost, to be the sweet companion and “princess of the house” to some of our dear friends.
Lexi is such a happy-go-lucky Doodle. She is goofy and snuggly, a social butterfly who is wonderful with kids and very well-mannered. She weighs around 37lbs and has a beautiful dusty amber brown coat – so pretty!
We are so thrilled to have the opportunity to continue breeding wonderful puppies for wonderful families in an ethical way that feels right to us as we partner with wonderful families (who are also dear friends of ours! #winwin) as we continue growing our guardian program!
But that’s not the only surprise we have for you, friends. This is actually a DOUBLE SURPRISE announcement 🙂
We are THRILLED to tell you that…
Lexi is expecting a litter of puppies in October!!!
Yep, that’s right! Here are all the details regarding Scout & Lexi’s Pups…

Details on how to do just that below…
Steps to Adopt
If you are seriously ready to commit to adopting one of Lexi & Scout’s precious Doodle pups, please carefully read and follow the instructions below:
1. Puppy Application!
Every family must complete a puppy application. If you’ve already done this, great! And if months ago, even better as we always do our best to go in order of application date to honor those who have been waiting longest! If you haven’t submitted an application with LOD yet, you can do so here.
2. Respond back to this email by or before 9 pm on Tuesday, September 28th.
Our open response time for this litter will be 72-hours. So please talk as a family, check the dates listed for puppy visits/take home to make sure they will work for you, and then let us know if you’re ready to move forward in this amazing process by simply replying “I’m ready” to this email along with any other comments/questions you might have!
3. Be Patient
And finally, we ask kindly for your patience as we take our time this week to respond back to everyone no later than 9 pm on Saturday evening (10/2). I will begin reaching out to interested families come Wednesday afternoon, once I’ve received all the emails and have had a chance to review applications, to let you know where you fall on the list. And if we have more interested families than puppies, I will make sure to clearly communicate that to you with hopes to get a sweet puppy into your arms possibly next time around!
Those are the simple steps! Please email us at [email protected] to ask any questions and I will get back to you as quickly as I can. Thanks so much, friends!
And finally, enjoy some adorable pictures of Penny & Scout’s spring litter as we anticipate that Lexi & Scout’s pups will look very similar to these sweet ones!
Thank you ALL for your continued interest and patience with us! Although we only have 1-3 litters per year (aka: “seasonal breeders”), we continue to remain ever so grateful for the opportunity to continue raising wonderful puppies for wonderful families like you. What an amazing gift!
We look forward to hearing from you and to hopefully, get a sweet puppy into your arms soon!
With so much love and gratitude from our family to yours,
The Gibson Family
