Merry (almost!) Christmas to all of our Doodle-loving families!

I’m not sure about your family but as the holiday school break quickly approaches for our kiddos, the excitement for Christmas seems to be growing by the minute 🙂

Yet, the only thing that has us feeling not-so-merry at the moment is that our sweet Little Yellow Girl – Miss Sunshine – is still awaiting her forever family 🙁

While we’ve been breeding as a family for six years now, we’ve thankfully never had a puppy not find a family this late in our puppy-raising process. Yet, this has nothing to do with this little lady but rather, we believe there are a couple of reasons at play…

1. We only breed seasonally (just 1-2 litters per year) and do not advertise year-round nor take deposits/promise a litter until our mama has a confirmed pregnancy. While other breeders do things differently, this has always been how we roll and has always felt right for us. 

2. We are very intentional and purposeful in the families we choose to adopt our puppies. If we do not feel like the family is a good fit (ie: no training plan, very busy schedule, not stable in work/living situation) we kindly decline their interest in our puppies. That’s right. And we do not regret holding onto that principle whatsoever. Our puppies matter more to us.

3. Most significantly, we truly believe that the state of our economy has had a lot to do with fewer families being able to adopt a puppy. While our jobs have been stable and we are so very grateful, we’ve had countless friends and know many families who have lost their jobs over the last year. On top of that, things are expensive and are getting more expensive! Unfortunately, adding a sweet pup into your life does add to your cost of living, even if it’s not that much.

With all of these reasons on the forefront of our mind, we have decided to reduce Yellow Girl’s adoption price to $1,500 (regular price $2500), with hopes to see this sweet girl find her forever family before Christmas.

This lovely lady is SO social and playful. She LOVES people and other dogs, to be right by our side, explore outside, and SNUGGLE! She’s got the FLUFFIEST + SOFTEST chocolate coat, long legs like her daddy and a sweet demeanour like her mama. 

🐕‍🦺 BREED: She is an F1BB Standard Goldendoodle, who will weigh around 5olbs full grown. 

🎂 BIRTHDAY: She was born September 25 and is 11 weeks old!

📋 HEALTH: She has been health checked by our vet, and has received her first of three vaccinations as well as 4 deworming treatments.

😴 SLEEP HABITS: Sleeps beautifully through the night!

🐾 PUPPY TIPS?  We have been working on leash training, potty training outside (she is puppy pad trained), and basic commands over the past few weeks. But we always make sure to give you ALL the best tips and tricks before bringing your puppy home including sending you with a puppy pack to get you started!
